What is Kinky Curly Hair?
To put it simply, kinky curly hair is similar to African-American women's hair. Kinky curly hair consists of ringlets that from a barrel or cylinder shape naturally with little effort. Shaped like "z" or "s", looks fluffy and has a rock-and-roll style.
How To Comb Curly Hair Without Getting it Frizzy?
Generally, your hair tends to become frizzy when you try to comb them when dry. So in order to prevent your curly hair going frizzy, you need to comb it when wet with conditioner. Apply some conditioner and comb your hair with a wide tooth comb immediately. The conditioner will help to soften your locks and combing it immediately will prevent your hair from getting frizzy.
2. Add Some Oil:Another great trick to tame dry and frizzy curly hair is adding oil to your hair care routine. As soon as you’re done with washing your hair, you should take 1-2 drops of oil and mix it with shampoo or conditioner. Oil helps to keep your hair moisturized and prevents them from getting dry. You can add 1-2 drops of coconut oil, argan oil, castor oil or olive oil in order to prevent hair from getting dry.
3. Do Not Blow Dry:You should not blow dry your wet hair as it leaves you with a dehydrated scalp. Instead, try some heatless ways to style your hair so that it does not leave you with dry and frizzy hair. Use your fingers to set your hair and if needed, pamper them with essential oils, serum or a hydrating mask. Do not style your hair with a heating tool as it can make your hair frizzy.
4. Always Use A Wide Tooth Brush/Comb:You should always use a wide tooth brush while combing curly hair as it prevents your hair from getting destroyed and also makes them frizzy. You should be using a wide tooth brush with soft bristles so that it detangles your hair and also help to maintain the curls. If your hair is full of tangles, you can initially try to detangle it with your fingers.
5. Do Not Brush When Dry:Brushing dry hair can make your curls separate from each other and also leave you with frizzy hair. If you are finding it difficult to tame your dry and curly hair, you can apply some styling cream to the hair. Styling cream can prevent your hair (basically the curls) from looking flat. A wide tooth brush is safe to be used when combing dry hair.
6. Don’t Be Harsh:Because you already know your hair is frizzy, you should not be harsh on the scalp. Combing aggressively in an attempt to keep your hair frizz free may generally lead to hair loss problems. So, it is always good to be patient while combing your dry, frizzy and curly hair.
How Do You Wash A Kinky Curly Wig?
1. Before you begin washing the lace wig, make sure all glue residues have been removed.
2. Detangle your kinky curly wig with a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to minimize shedding.
3. Use lukewarm or cold water to wash your wig. If possible, wash the hair with fingers, don’t rub or twist hair.
4. Apply the hair conditioner and remember not to add conditioner to the root of the wig. Leave it for 3-4 minutes and continue rinsing with water.
5. Never brush the wig when it is still wet. Put your wig on a well-ventilated area and wait until it is dry. Let your beautiful hair dry naturally in the air. You can use a wig stand to hang your wig.
